Our Itinerary
Here's the latest plan...subject to change by the Holy Spirit, travel challenges, weather, etc.
- January 4: Leave Indianapolis. (Flight plan: Indianapolis to Detroit to Amsterdam to Brussels to Monrovia)
- January 5: Arrive in Monrovia.
- January 6: Children & Peace Program (wherein Jan Nichols and I dazzle all with our balloon-animal-making skills). Team members with actual skills visit JFK Hospital.
- January 7: Church, planning, and sightseeing
- January 8 - 10: Upcountry to Ganta - workshops, etc.
- January 11: Ganta or Freetown
- January 12: Freetown
- January 13: Kissy Hospital: Workshops & dinner
- January 14: Church, sightseeing, and dinner
- January 15: Workshops, five of us leave Freetown and return to US. The rest stick around.
- January 16 - 21: The remaining time will divide between Freetown and Jaiama. (It's 8 hours by van from Freetown to Jaiama! We'll rely on Operation Classroom staff in country to tell us where we need to be and when.)
- January 22: Leave Freetown
- January 23: Arrive in Indianapolis
